A father, a son, and now two countries
Scotland and Ireland Tours is run by Lindsay's Highland Tours, a Scottish family business planning private journeys since 2019.
How it started
My father, George, has loved the Highlands for as long as I can remember. Whenever he had a few days, he packed the family into the car and drove north.
When Dad turned 60 in 2019, I wanted to help him leave his old job and do work he loved. So I handed him a business plan, a map of Scotland, some Irn-Bru and the keys to a van. That was the beginning of Lindsay's Highland Tours.
I plan the journeys. Dad still spends most of his week on the road guiding them, and guests tend to come home talking about him rather than the itinerary.
Why Ireland
So many of our guests have roots on both sides of the Irish Sea, and so many asked us to take them across. From 2027 we will, with our own guides and vehicles, so the same people look after you in both countries.

Kim keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from bookings and confirmations to making sure your guide has everything they need.
George Lindsay
The reason the business exists. Guests come home talking about George: the stories, the unplanned stops, and the Highland cows that seem to know him.
Ian Blair
A proud Scot with a deep store of history, folklore and tradition, who shapes each day around the people in his car.
Martin
Glencoe and Skye are Martin’s home ground: the short walks, the quiet viewpoints, and the places most visitors never find.
