Who we are
Scotland and Ireland Tours is operated by Lindsays Highland Tours Ltd ("we", "us"), the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are registered in Scotland, company number SC617440. Our registered office is 57 Fernhill Road, Glasgow, G73 4HP. Contact us at info@lindsayshighlandtours.com.
What we collect through the enquiry form
- Your name, email address, country and, if you give it, your phone number, preferred contact method and time zone.
- Your travel plans: the places you choose on our map, dates, party size, interests, pace, budget range, family surnames if you choose to share them, and any notes you write.
- Technical and campaign information: the page and website you enquired from, the advertising campaign that brought you (if any), and the time of your enquiry.
Please do not send passport details, payment information or health information through the enquiry form. If we need any of these to arrange your trip, we will ask for them separately and securely.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and plan your trip — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To understand which of our advertising and pages produce enquiries — our legitimate interests in running and improving our business.
- To send occasional travel emails — only if you ticked the optional box, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who processes it for us
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions.
- Our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications and our replies.
Some of these providers are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking only for as long as we need them to follow up on your plans, and we review and delete old enquiries regularly. If you travel with us, we keep booking records for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent for marketing. Contact info@lindsayshighlandtours.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
